Swim with the JellyFish : Palau’s famous Jellyfish Lake, on Mecherchar Island is a saltwater lake known worldwide for its profusion of bright orange, harmless, and beautiful jellyfish. Named for its inhabitants, Jellyfish Lake is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the best places in the world to enjoy the otherworldly experience of swimming among a sea of Jellies. Palau’s often overlooked in favor of FijiBora Bora, or the Cook Islands. The archipelago is home to over 500 remote tropical islands, making Palau a great destination if you are looking for a nice, beautiful, and quiet escape.

You can fly to Palau on either United or Delta airlines, Wait till you see the tiny Airport. Or stop on your fantastic Azamara, Siverseas, or National Geographic cruises.

For the fanciest stay, there are the Prisintine Villas and Bungalows at the Palau Pacific Resort. Opened in May of 2019 this pristine paradise with unique biodiversity, the area will offer a memorable experience! See more here!

Then there is the Palau Luxury Hotel with its one-of-a-kind water Bungalows. Experience the Beauty of Tradition.

Lastly, look at the Palau Royal Resort a somewhat more conventional hotel in paradise.

Make sure to stop by the Drop off Bar and Grill to have your day’s are running into each other most memorable cocktail of the trip.

Don’t forget to stop by M K Dive center to get the lowdown on the snorkel and scuba scene.

How about seeing Whales in Hawaii?  Well we are in prime time right now Jan thru the end of March and a little bit on the front and back end of those months. On the Big Island Hawaii the Gold Coast is a fantastic place to whale watch, while you are trying to do all the nothing there is to do there.  Sad News is my favorite dive and recreation boat shop is closing in Feb. Great times had at Mauna Lani Sea Adventures If you get a chance to cruise on the beloved Winona,  before they close tell them good bye from me!

A great place to stay of course is the Mauna Lani, Auberge Resorts Collection A great hotel with amazing beaches and a wonderful business district with shops, restaurants and a grocery store.  Close by are the Fairmont Orchard and the huge and fun Hilton Waikoloa village. Further away is the Westin Hapuna Beach resort which is beyond beautiful and on one of my favorite white sand beaches in the world Hapuna Beach.  The Winona was my favorite whale watching ship, Body Glove out of Kona is a great cruise, There are dozens of whale watching boats, we can chat about all your options.

From Maui depending where you stay In the Kaanapali area where the Westin  Maui Kaanapali is you will find Sea Maui and  Maui Reef Adventures, and after your whale watching adventure you can end up in Fleetwoods On Front St in Lahaina, one of my favorite beach towns with many great shops and restaurants.

In Wailea Check out the Waldorf Astoria Hotel and don’t forget to get the lay of the sea from the Never Dry Divers to find the best whale watching area’s. A great dive shop!

The Great Geysir Iceland! Geysir is a hot spring in the geothermal area, Haukadalur Valley, found in South Iceland. It lent its name to all other geysers in the world!  Geysir is less than two hour’s drive from the capital, making it easily accessible for many joining a Golden Circle day tour or those who rent a car. It is also visited on countless vacation packages and self-drive tours. For accommodation, Hotel Gullfoss is approximately 7 kilometre from the Geysir area, and closer still is Hotel Geysir on the other side of the road from the attraction, where you will also find a restaurant, café and a souvenir shop.
